Join IHC Sisterhood for a meaningful evening of connection, reflection, and action as we celebrate Sukkot through the lens of breast cancer awareness. Under the canopy of the Sukkah, we find the strength of community.

Our evening begins with a unique Link Ceremony where guests write names or words of strength on paper strips to form a sharsharet (chain) over the entrance, followed by a mindful procession inside for cocktails and appetizers. We will then share an elegant, health-forward Pink Kiddush Dinner featuring autumnal superfoods, concluding with dessert and our moderated Ushpizot Panel featuring a Sharsharet representative, a medical professional, and a community survivor exploring Jewish heritage, BRCA awareness, and proactive screening.

We are still seeking breast or ovarian cancer survivors from our community to share their stories and perspectives as part of this panel discussion. Your voice and experience can offer profound comfort, strength, and connection to others. If you are willing to participate or would like to learn more about the casual discussion format, please contact ihcsisterhoodreligiousliving@gmail.com

Inspired by Hiddur Mitzvah, the tradition of elevating ritual through art, The Hiddur Studio is a new workshop series pairing guided instruction with curated hospitality and community.

Join us for our inaugural workshop, Bites & Brushes. You’ll learn foundational watercolor techniques to create a ready-to-frame Shalom Bayit (Peace in the Home) piece for your space. As you paint, enjoy plated bites and craft mocktails.

For over 12 years, Sisterhood has supported students at Greenbriar Elementary who face food insecurity and unstable housing—aiming to give them the stability they need to stay in school and thrive.

Many Greenbriar students rely on school-provided breakfast and lunch as their main source of nutrition, making long school breaks particularly tough. Sisterhood provides food bags to ~100 children before each major break.

Join our annual food collection on Sunday, August 30 from 9 AM – Noon (in conjunction with the Jewish Learning Program), or drop items in the Gift Shop bin from August 26 – September 2.

A Note on Food Items Collected: We often receive questions about why we don't collect fresh, organic, or healthier options. Because these bags go home to children over long breaks, we must collect shelf-stable, kid-friendly foods that children can easily prepare themselves. Thank you for understanding! (Strictly no tree nuts or peanuts).

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! If you've donated in the past or want to participate this year, watch for details in late August when we begin organizing basket donations.

We're partnering with Singing Crust Bakery and Haute Honey Farms for our fourth year to bring artisan round challahs and custom-labeled honey to your holiday table. Every purchase directly supports IHC through Sisterhood grants for Jewish learning, camp scholarships, and community programming.

Start the New Year 5787 off with two mitzvot! Send High Holy Day greetings to our wonderful clergy and professional staff at Rosh Hashanah while supporting the Sisterhood YES Fund (Youth, Education, Special Projects).

Every Friday night, someone opens our doors—and that simple moment sets the tone for our entire community. A warm smile and a friendly "Shabbat Shalom" can make a newcomer feel instantly at home.

We're looking for Shabbat Greeters to welcome members and guests as they arrive for Friday night services.

Whether you can commit to one Friday or a few throughout the year, your presence at the door helps set the tone for a beautiful Shabbat.
