Help with the Washington Township Back to School Bash! IHC is sponsoring the Book Room at this completely free event, which helps children from low-income families (PreK–Grade 12) prepare for the school year. Students will receive backpacks, supplies, clothing, hygiene kits, health screenings, and breakfast, while connecting with helpful community agencies. The event is hosted by the Jordan YMCA and sponsored by local faith-based and community organizations. We need volunteers to make it happen!

IHC will again host the Book Room for the Washington Township Back to School Bash at the Jordan YMCA on Saturday, August 1. Every child attending can choose at least one book to take home, and we need volunteers for sorting, transport, setup, and event-day support. Please help by donating new or gently used books (Pre-K through Grade 12). Donations must be free of tears, writing, missing pages, mildew, or water damage, and should not be identifiable as library books. Additional volunteer opportunities are available leading up to the event.
